Cary fiber plans

ftp://pubfiles.townofcary.org/TransportationAndFacilities/Encroachments/

ftp://pubfiles.townofcary.org/TransportationAndFacilities/Encroachments/AT&T/

These directories are updated as Cary gets new permits. But this is everything to date.

The google maps and permits are quite nice, satellite photos with plots and marked up. Im still going through them, but feel free to extract and repost.

Here's an article from yesterday (2/23/2017) - http://carycitizen.com/2017/02/23/google-fiber-preparing-for-cary-expansion/

Basically a fluff piece. It's nice that they are communicating something publicly, but all they keep saying is "we get a lot of demand" and "it will be a while".

I'm particularly amused by the final line in the article, talking about growth in Cary: "Real estate growth is so fast, I don’t know if we’ll catch up," Gaar said.

Totally agree, complete fluff, but the RE comment is gold. Its actually probably true especially out on West Cary where even the town is having a hard time to plan and keep up. As much as GF has been dropping installs lately, I dont see much more of Cary being done other than finishing whats been started already (which is anything bordering Morrisville). Really  in the long run it looks like Morrisville will be 100% done and the rest of the cities left with small spots done here and there.
